Collaboration and Mutual Respect for Growth

By Clare Masawi

My journey with Helping Without Hurting in Africa has been nothing short of transformative. This book has opened my eyes to the profound impact of our actions and the importance of approaching poverty alleviation with wisdom and compassion.

Before encountering this invaluable resource, I wore many hats within our organization - HR, Programs, Media, and Social Worker. While I was passionate about each role, I often found myself stretched thin, unable to give my best to any single area. The principles outlined in Helping Without Hurting in Africa made me realize that true leadership is not about holding multiple titles but about empowering others to shine in their respective roles.

Inspired by this newfound understanding, I made the decision to step down from my various positions and humbly serve as the office secretary. This shift allowed me to focus on supporting my colleagues and ensuring the smooth operation of our organization. By relinquishing my titles, I created space for others to step up and demonstrate their unique talents and capabilities.

The results have been nothing short of remarkable. Our organization has become more cohesive, efficient, and impactful. The Helping Without Hurting in Africa Conference played a pivotal role in this transformation. It provided us with the tools and insights needed to foster a culture of collaboration and mutual respect. We learned to approach our work with a mindset of humility and service, always seeking to uplift those we aim to help without causing unintended harm.

Today, I am proud to witness the tremendous growth and improvement within our organization. We are more organized, our programs are more effective, and our team is more united than ever before. This journey has taught me that true success lies not in the accumulation of titles but in the ability to inspire and empower others.

I am deeply grateful for the knowledge and wisdom imparted by Helping Without Hurting in Africa. It has not only changed the way we operate but also transformed my personal approach to leadership and service. I am honored to be part of this incredible journey and look forward to continuing to serve with humility and dedication.

With your help we can continue to satisfy Africa’s thirst for God’s Word.
